Director Agribusiness, Food and Water , FMO - Dutch development Bank

I have been in banking for more than 20 years in various commercial and managerial roles. Mostly with ING wholesale bank where I was involved in global trade finance, structured commodity finance and set up ING's international Food and Agri activities in CIS and Europe.

In these roles, I became well aware of the challenges we face and the need to transform supply chains and foodsystems especially in the developing world. I therefore decided to join the Dutch Development Bank FMO in 2018 as Head of the Agribusiness of FMO investing in companies across the supply chain worldwide.  The agricultural sector is one of the key focus sector of the bank because it is where we can make a big impact from an economical, social, environmental and sustainability perspective.
