Prof. Maria ROMEIRAS

Maria Romeiras studied Biology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon [FCUL], completed her MSc Degree at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia [ISA/UL] and obtained her PhD degree in 2005 on Molecular Biology, at the University of Lisbon. In March 2018, Maria joined the list of prestigious corresponding members of Academy of Sciences of Lisbon. Since, February 2017, Maria is Professor at Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), and is full member in (LEAF/ISA) and (cE3c/FCUL). Over the last years, Maria has published several book chapters and more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in international journals (ORCID: orcid.org/0000-0002-9373-6302). Maria is curator of the “Tapada da Ajuda Botanical Park", which represents a unique natural space of local vegetation that is considered one of the Lisbon’s most significant natural resources and is spread over a large surface 100ha (ISA).
