Marie-Josee Artist has been involved in global biodiversity, climate and development processes for many years, supporting the indigenous caucuses in both the climate change and biodiversity negotiations. She works with the Association of Indigenous Village Leaders in Suriname (VIDS) and supports community-based monitoring of human rights outcomes across indigenous communities in Suriname.
