Mr Kevin SMITH

Programme Officer, Invasive Species, IUCN

Kevin has been working on invasive alien species (IAS) with IUCN for almost 6 years. Through this role he has worked closely with the IUCN SSC Invasive Species Specialist Group (ISSG), and IUCN Members to support IAS policy development and implementation, in particular within the EU and at a global level. He has also supported the ISSG with the development of the recently launched IUCN Standard for measuring impacts from IAS; the IUCN Environmental Impact Classification for Alien Taxa (EICAT). He holds a BSc in Zoology, and an MSC in Environmental Law and Conservation.
