Environmental engineer, advisor at international level on wetland governance and restoration, scientific coordinator or advisor of several international projects on integrated wetland management. Former technical director of the Italian Centre for River Restoration and board member of the European Centre for River Restoration. Currently member of the technical support unit of the Italian Observatory of Wetland Contracts at the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition and external expert at MedSea Foundation. At moment engaged by the Municipality of Venice for the preparation of the Venice Climate Change Adaption Plan too.
