Mr Gertjan ROSEBOOM

Global Discipline Head Social Performance, Shell

Gertjan Roseboom has been working on environmental and socials issues at the interface between Shell and society for about 30 years. He studied Chemistry in Amsterdam and then joined Shell, working on environmental and social challenges in operations and major capital projects worldwide. Biodiversity and nature have always been an integral part of his work and Gertjan was biodiversity manager for the Shell Group between 2011 and 2019. At that time he worked closely with IUCN and is proud to have contributed to e.g. the development of the standard for Identification of Key Biodiversity Areas.
