Dr D. BAZILE is an active researcher in agroecology & agrobiodiversity. With a Ph.D. in Rural Geography (Toulouse, 1998), he was graduated as Director of Research (HdR) (Montpellier, 2014). After different international experiences (Africa, Asia, South America), he joined the CIRAD in 2001 where he develops an ecosystem approach and promotes participatory research. He works on social organization for maintaining agricultural heritage. During 2014-16, he served at FAO-HQ supporting in situ conservation & on farm management of plant genetic resources. After 3 years as Regional Director for the Mediterranean, he was appointed as CIRAD Biodiversity Advisor. He develops multilevel actors dialogues for facilitating partnerships considering all actors and, in particular women.
