Professional in International Relations, expert in international affairs, policy and biodiversity. Currently she is Head of the Office of International Affairs, Policy and Cooperation of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute.
Expert in international environmental law, affairs and international cooperation, and science and policy interface. With more than 20 years of experience in international negotiation within the framework of Multilateral Environmental Agreements, especially the Convention on Biological Diversity, among others. Leading Negotiator for Colombia at the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, IPBES.
In the past 7th Plenary Session of IPBES, she was elected as Chair of this Platform for the next 3 years.
