Senior International Advisor, US Environmental Protection Agency

Amy Porter has been with the US Environmental Protection Agency for nearly 30 years, with more than 20 years in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.  Amy has extensive experience in developing civil enforcement policy for all environmental programs, and has focused expertise in enforcement of the US Clean Water Act. She served as the Deputy Federal Chief Sustainability Office in the White House Council on Environmental Quality from 2015-2016, developing and implementing sustainability measures in support of climate change mitigation and resilience. She has worked on implementation of North American trade agreements and international capacity building efforts for enforcement and compliance. Amy currently serves as the Senior International Advisor for EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. Amy has a B.A. in Public Administration and an M.A. in Environmental Studies.
