For the chance to discuss health risks associated with human-wildlife interfaces and strengthen joint action by stakeholders from the fields of nature conservation, human and animal health as well as development cooperation and social sciences. Representatives of the German Federal Ministries will present and launch this new initiative.

Identifying and reducing human health risks from wildlife trade needs an internationally coordinated and effective approach. To this end, the German Government is officially launching this Alliance as an inclusive and interdisciplinary platform, which focuses on human-wildlife interfaces, the associated health risks and the emergence and spread of zoonotic pathogens from wildlife. Representatives of member organization, the professional community and interested organizations are invited to attend the ceremony.
