The speaker will present the work under way by Target Malaria in Ghana to map out the role of Anopheles mosquitoes as food sources and pollinators in the local ecosystem. These studies are underway as part of an effort to assess possible risks from using gene drive to reduce the population of malaria mosquitoes in Sub Saharan Africa.
