L'avenir de la Conservation : Approches transgénérationnelles de l'éthique, des droits et des devoirs

Two decades into the 21st century, a new generation has emerged with a higher expectations and ethics with regard to biodiversity, climate, and environmental harms. They recognize that our conservation crises cannot be separated from our governance crises, and each is due to a crisis of values. Despite the seriousness and urgency of the challenges we face, voices of nature, future generations, women, and vulnerable peoples have often been ignored —and our response has been inaction, slow action, or ineffective action. This Session will be a diverse and intergenerational dialogue to explore new and emerging approaches to law and governance that can better address our shared global crises, building from the ethical roots of the rights of nature movement, to the courage of the youth that are bringing climate change cases in defense of future generations.
