Senior Technical Officer, Wetlands International

Dr Taej Mundkur works as a senior Technical Officer with Wetlands International Global Office in the Netherlands. He is responsible for development of migratory waterbirds and wetlands conservation programmes in all flyways worldwide, in partnership with conventions, governments, NGOs, corporate sector & others. This includes promotion of management of international ecological networks of sites of importance for waterbirds, incl. Ramsar Sites, Flyway Network Sites & other important protected & unprotected areas. He coordinates the global International Waterbird Census & Waterbird Population Estimates. He has a doctorate in waterbird ecology & a master’s degree in microbiology from India
