Co-lead of Nature-based Solutions Thematic Group of IUCN CEM / Nature-based Solution Consultant for WWF International

Diego works as a nature-based solutions consultant for WWF International. He is also co-lead of the nature-based solutions thematic group of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management. After graduating with his bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, together with his classmates he founded the NGO Ficus Peru, which has been promoting urban forests projects in Lima since 2015. He has been working for five years on urban forests, ecology and conservation issues and since 2018 on nature-based solutions. He is also a member of gaia-liNc, an organization of Latin American and European youth in Germany that seeks to support environmental education projects in rural schools in Latin America.
