Mr Patricio LOMBARDI

Minister of Climate Change, Province of Misiones, Secretariat of State of Climate Change

Officially appointed in October 2020 as the first Minister of Climate Change in the Americas, his ministry has received important distinctions, including a handwritten letter from Pope Francis, being invited at important forums such as the Annual Assembly of the UN Environment and the commemoration of the five years of the Paris Agreement organized by the Government of France.

In addition, as in June 2021, Patricio Lombardi assumed the presidency of the Environment and Climate Change Commission of the Integrated Zone on the Centre West of South America (ZICOSUR), a regional bloc made up of 7 countries and 71 subnational states.

Before he assumed his ministry Mr. Lombardi co-founded the NGO “Revolución 21” together with acclaimed Argentine artist Charly Alberti, this position has taken him around the world converting him as one of the leading voices to speak up about climate change, biodiversity, environmental issues and good practices.
