Fostering transboundary basin approach and youth engagement to achieve Sustainable Development Goal

The proposed session will present challenges related to transboundary river basin management and climate change adaptation for achieving SDG 6 and implementing the Paris agreement taking into consideration youth and gender aspects faced by countries in the West Africa Region. It will share experiences and lessons learned from ongoing initiatives particularly at national, transboundary and regional levels developed with support from various partners incluing IUCN and GWP-WA as responses to those challenges.
