This session will examine examples of successful partnerships between public and private entities aimed at keeping underfunded parks and protected areas open and secure. By exploring the strengths and shortcomings of these partnerships, we will propose ways to replicate these efforts so that other at-risk areas can remain open and new ones can be created.
To keep parks open and protected areas(especially habitats) secure, some areas have created partnerships between public or government agencies and private persons or organizations. The ways in which these efforts were and weren't successful and how they can be replicated for other at-risk areas.
