Dr Shira YOFFE
Senior Policy Advisor, US Department of Agriculture - Forest Service
Dr. Shira Yoffe is a Senior Policy Advisor with the United States’ Forest Service International Programs Office. She brings almost twenty years’ experience leading US foreign policy engagement on climate change and natural resource management. Her work links US Forest Service expertise with international efforts to address forest landscape restoration, climate change, and other environmental issues. She serves as a lead negotiator on land sector issues for the United States under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and in other multilateral fora. Dr. Yoffe has represented the United States in the Global Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration since 2010. She holds a PhD in Geography from Oregon State University, with a specialization in transboundary water resources; an MA in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; and a BA in History from the University of Massachusetts.
