Rodrigo CASSOLA
Senior Programme Officer, UNEP-WCMC
As part of UNEP-WCMC's Nature Economy team, Rodrigo leads a portfolio of work exploring biodiversity risks, impacts and corporate performance linked to land use and land-use change. Currently, this includes projects focused on biodiversity indicators, deforestation-free finance, and restoration finance.
Before joining UNEP-WCMC, Rodrigo was leading the technical development of CDP’s corporate reporting framework on forests and biodiversity, a primary resource for tracking corporate action. His experience also includes more than ten years with the Brazilian Environmental Agency (IBAMA) working on environmental policy implementation.
Rodrigo holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and an MSc in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg, Germany. He is based in the UK since 2016.
