Ms Jojo MEHTA

Co-Founder & Executive Director, Stop Ecocide International Ltd

Jojo co-founded Stop Ecocide International in 2017, alongside barrister and legal pioneer the late Polly Higgins, to support establishing ecocide as a crime at the International Criminal Court.  As key spokesperson and Executive Director, Jojo has overseen the global growth of the movement while coordinating between legal, diplomatic and public developments.

She is also Chair of the charitable Stop Ecocide Foundation and convenor of the Independent Expert Panel for the Legal Definition of Ecocide.

Jojo is a graduate of Oxford and London universities, with a background in communications, entrepreneurship and environmental campaigning.
