Dr Gary TABOR
President, Center for Large Landscape Conservation
Dr. Gary M. Tabor is an ecologist and wildlife veterinarian based in Bozeman, Montana USA, and is Chair of IUCN WCPA Connectivity Conservation Specialist Group. In 2007, Gary founded the Center for Large Landscape Conservation (www.largelandscapes.org) to support collaborative large-scale conservation initiatives around the globe. Gary’s conservation achievements include establishing Kibale National Park Uganda; establishing the World Bank’s Mgahinga/Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trust, and co-founding the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative; the field of Conservation Medicine; and Patagonia Company’s Freedom to Roam wildlife corridor campaign. Gary is a recipient of the Australian American Fulbright Scholar award in Climate Change and the winner of the Henry Luce Scholar Award. He serves on the Board of Advisors at the University of Wisconsin and the Salazar Center at Colorado State University.
