Trustee, Synchronicity Earth

Catherine started working in the environment sector in 2014 having previously worked in finance. She became a trustee of Synchronicity Earth in 2015 and took on the role of CEO in 2017. Having led the team through significant growth in grant funding for biodiversity issues she reverted to her trustee role in 2017. She continues to use her experience in strategy development as a trustee of the Environmental Funders Network and as an adviser to ShareAction in their work to increase engagement on biodiversity issues in the finance sector. She has a particular interest in shifting decision-making in the finance sector to fully encompass environmental impact and risk. Catherine was a Managing Director and Head of Equity Derivative Trading at J.P.Morgan and a member of the bank's Risk Committee before leaving in 1998. She has a degree in Chemistry from Oxford University.
