Santuarización de los bosques para las generaciones futuras

In a growing context of legal recognition and judicial defense of Rights of Nature and Rights of Future Generations, this session will cross examine various indigenous peoples proposals to implement the sanctuarisation of Forests.  Indigenous Peoples and their allies, all around the world, are establishing historical Declarations and protocols which aim to protect Mother Earth. Among others :  The Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth, adopted in Cochabamba by more than 35,000 people from 140 nations (2010),  The Munduruku People Consultation Protocol (2014), The Declaration of the Alliance of Guardians and Children of Mother Earth (2017), The Kawsak Sacha Declaration from the Sarayaku People (2018)... A statute of sanctuarisation of forest including massive reforestation programmes would allow to strengthen conservation and human rights for a sustainable future as well are fighting against climate change and preserving biodiversity.
