This Conservation Action Cafe will focus on identifying solutions for freshwater biodiversity conservation. It will do this through engaging with Congress participants and inviting them to join the conversation to help identify what we can collectively do to deliver impact for freshwater biodiversity protection, river restoration, and conservation action specifically for freshwater species and ecosystems.
The session will start with a brief introduction and a short video will be shown to highlight the status of freshwater biodiversity conservation and the challenges ahead. Participants will be led through a participatory process to identify solutions including identifying what needs to change. Solutions will be developed in break-out groups virtually, and then reported back in Plenary
