Nature-based Solutions Partnerships: moving together from words to action

The launch of the IUCN Global Standard for NbS™️ on the 23rd of July 2020 gave thousands of stakeholders the opportunity to learn about this framework for design, upscaling and verification. A lot has changed since then, not to mention the weathering of a global pandemic, which tested the limits of our relationship with nature, exposing the raw weaknesses as well as uncovering the opportunities. The successes in the past year, including the capacity building of countries and application of the Standard around the globe, transformative change depends on the strength of partnerships these commitments rely upon. This thematic stream event intends to celebrate the institutions that made these achievements possible while tangibly building up new commitments to work together. To that end, IUCN will signing an MoU with ILO, live, to contribute to a post-COVID green recovery.
