Áreas Protegidas Urbanas: Perspectivas Para Una Alianza Entre La Naturaleza Y Las Ciudades

¿Por qué asistir a esta sesión?
Partnership is the key to the future of cities and urban protected areas. They are the driving force for shared governance: conservation integrates urban reality and nature the city landscape. The session offers a dialogue between researchers, parks managers and cities from a wide perspective, involving both European and Southern Countries.
HideDescripción
A dialogue between researchers, park managers and cities from different countries on urban conservation strategies. Urban protected areas are a conservation showcase; a tool for the education and awareness of urban populations; a powerful element of nature in the city; an instrument of economic and social development; a means of social inclusion for disadvantaged people and minorities. This session will address challenges and action levers and provide innovative solutions on planning and management of the nature-city interface; carrying capacity; city-park governance; citizen mobilization and awareness raising for young people. It aims to overcome the dichotomy between conservation (of nature) and development (of cities) and meets the 2050 Vision, "Living in harmony with nature", in an essentially urban world.
