Portia BANGEREZAKO

Head of Sustainability, Sanlam , Sanlam

Portia is a Sustainability practitioner, currently working at Sanlam (a Pan African insurer) and based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has a Bsoc Sci (Environmental Management) from University of KwaZulu Natal and  a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University.  She has worked as an environmental and social risk specialist in the Financial Services sector since 2002 and has experience in medium and large scale projects. In 2015 she was the co-chair of the UNEP FI (United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative) Africa and Middle East Taskforce.
