Carina Pimenta is the co-founder, and current executive director, of Conexsus - Sustainable Connections Institute, and also founded CX Socio-Environmental Investments, an impact finance vehicle in Brazil dedicated to small growing businesses associated with conservation and sustainable land use. Miss Pimenta holds a degree in Business Administration from the São Paulo School of Business Administration and a master's degree in Social Development from the University of Sussex.  Professional experience in civil society and private sector, with expertise in developing and investing sustainable businesses and value chains in the Amazon and other threatened biomes, especially with communities. She works with topics related to sustainable finance, rural credit, climate change in the Amazon, bioeconomy, social entrepreneurship, rural development and sustainable communities.
