Kathy Abusow is President & CEO of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), a non-profit leader dedicated to advancing sustainability through forest-focused collaboration.  SFI has evolved into a solutions-oriented sustainability organization.

150 million hectares of forests are certified to SFI and the recent standard revision includes new climate-smart forestry, and fire resilience and awareness objectives. SFI’s conservation work improves the relationship between sustainable forest management and conservation outcomes such as climate change, species recovery, and water quality. Through Project Learning Tree, SFI advances environmental education, using forests to create the next generation of conservation leaders.

SFI is a member of IUCN's Canadian and US National Committees. Kathy regularly speaks at leading sustainability events, such as P&G Signal Conference.
