An introduction to the IUCN Urban Nature Index (onsite and livestreamed)

¿Por qué asistir a esta sesión?
The IUCN Urban Nature Index is a new knowledge product aiming to help cities measure and track their ecological performance across three realms: urban, bioregional and global (i.e., tele-coupled). The Index is intended to enhance environmental transparency and accountability, facilitate goal setting and catalyse conservation action.
HideDescripción
The IUCN Urban Nature Index has been developed with the technical support of Urban Biodiversity Hub and the IUCN Urban Technical Expert Group. It is financed by Arcadia - a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin. The development process entailed an extensive global consultation of 24 subnational governments, and intensive beta-testing in five ‘pilot cities,’ namely, Curridabat, Mexico City, Lagos, Paris and Singapore. The Urban Nature Index aims to help cities measure and track their ecological performance across three realms: urban, bioregional and global (i.e., tele-coupled). Applied correctly, it can serve to enhance environmental transparency and accountability, facilitate goal setting and catalyse conservation action. Join us to find out more!
