The One Planet Business for Biodiversity (OP2B) coalition launched at UNGA in September 2019, aims at developing concrete, transformational and scalable actions to be implemented by willing companies within their supply chain around three pillars: (i) Regenerative Agriculture (with an emphasis on soil health, to preserve and restore biodiversity), (ii) Deforestation, restoration and high value ecosystems, and (iii) Portfolio diversification that encourages cultivated biodiversi-ty.
This session will take stock of 9 months of existence of OP2B and showcase innovative ap-proaches along the value chain including farmers on all 3 pillars, with examples from crop and animal production (Nestlé, Barry Callebaut, Danone), fragrance and flavours (Firmenich), finance (Mirova) and NGOs (EarthWorm Foundation).
