Gender Programme Officer

Tanya McGregor is the Gender Programme Officer at the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity.  Her role involves building the knowledge base on gender and biodiversity linkages, and the engagement of Parties and stakeholders to support a greater level of understanding, capacity and action on gender equality and women’s empowerment in biodiversity conservation, sustainable use and access and benefit sharing. She has a background in international development and environmental science, including working with the Canadian Government and IUCN's South Africa country office.
