Fishery Officer, General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM)

Pilar Hernandez, Fishery Officer and Coordinator for Western Mediterranean at the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM). Marine biologist with a Ph.D. on Ecological Modelling, specialised on stock assessment and on the interactions between fisheries and environment. FAO officer for more than 10 years serving both the GFCM Secretariat and the Regional cooperation Project CopeMed. Currently based on the sub regional technical Unit of GFCM in Malaga, Spain.
