Pete RAWCLIFFE
Head of People and Places, NatureScot
I am Head of the People and Places team in NatureScot, the national nature agency in Scotland (formerly know as Scottish Natural Heritage), with responsibility for the people-focused aspects of SNH's remit, including its work with the health sector to deliver nature based solutions for improving public health in Scotland.
Since 2015, I have been a Council Member for the Europarc Federation - the largest network of parks and protected areas in Europe. In this role, I have chaired its commission on health and protected areas which led the development of its new Healthy Parks, Healthy People Europe programme. I am also currently a member of the IUCN specialist group on health and also the current working group on COVID19 and protected areas.
