Dr Nyambe NYAMBE

Executive Director, KAZA TFCA Secretariat

Nyambe Nyambe, PhD. is a social scientist with more than 20 years working in the conservation sector having started his career in the mid 1990s as a wetlands Officer in IUCN on the Zambezi Floodplains, Zambia. He is currently the Executive Director of the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area Secretariat (KAZA TFCA), a position he has held since mid 2018. He has worked in the area of community based natural resources management (CBNRM) - Namibia Nature Foundation (Project Coordinator); and WWF Zambia where he held several positions - Wetlands Officer, Project Coordinator, Conservation Manager and Country Director. Through his work in CBNRM and transfrontier conservation, has collaborated with various stakeholders in wild lands where co-existence of people and wildlife is a reality. Addressing human wildlife conflict in these contexts is critical.
