Ms Karen KEENLEYSIDE

Senior Science Advisor and Co-Chair #NatureForAll, Parks Canada and IUCN WCPA

Karen Keenleyside is a senior science advisor and Manager for Intergovernmental Collaboration with Parks Canada as well as Vice Chair for People and Parks with IUCN's World Commission on Protected Areas. She is also Co-chair of the IUCN's #NatureForAll initiative. An ecologist by training, Karen bridges natural and social-scientific disciplines to identify solutions for building constituencies of support for conservation and protected areas into the future. During her career, which has included time in the private sector and government, Karen has developed knowledge-based strategic guidance on issues such as environmental management, ecological restoration, climate change, and connecting people with nature.
