Mr Jean-Pierre CLAMADIEU

Jean-Pierre Clamadieu was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Engie in May 2018. He has been CEO and Board member of Solvay between 2012 and 2019. He joined Solvay in Sept 2011 as member of the Executive Committee after the acquisition of Rhodia by Solvay. Previously he was Rhodia’s  CEO since 2003. He graduated from Ecole Nationale Sup des Mines de Paris and had a 9-year career at the French Civil Service incl as advisor to the Minister of Labor. He is Chairman of the Board of Opéra de Paris, member of the Board of Directors of Axa and Airbus. He is also member of the Executive Committee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). He has been President of the European Chemical Industry Council between 2014 and 2016 and member of the Board of Directors of the International Chemical Industry Council. Jean-Pierre Clamadieu was Chairman of the Sustainable Dev Com of MEDEF from 2007 to 2014
