With sixteen years in philanthropy Mrs.  Fairweather Morrison has led grant-making efforts in Belize and then globally, focused on sustainable small-scale fisheries management, ocean conservation, marine protected areas, reef resiliency, capacity building, research and monitoring, policy and advocacy, international ocean governance, financing for biodiversity and community-based conservation.  She has supported campaigns on several rights-based issues including Indigenous people’s land rights, access rights of oceans by small-scale fishers, the decriminalization of sodomy law, and Women’s issues. 

She is currently a member of the Board of the Ocean Foundation, whose mission is to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world.
