External Affairs Director , The Nature Conservancy
A native of Dominica, joined The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in 2003, as the first Director of The Bahamas Country Program, responsible for the planning and execution of the Conservancy’s strategic objectives in The Bahamas. Instrumental in the development, adoption and implementation of the Bahamas Master Plan for Protected Areas, the Caribbean Challenge Initiative (CCI), and the Bahamas Protected Areas Fund legislation, has developed lasting relationships with strategic partners and now works to align the Conservancy’s priorities with regional governments, multilateral and other partners. Since 2016, serves as Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund. Prior to joining TNC, worked as a Fisheries Officer in The Bahamas and has a bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture & Environmental Technology from Florida Institute of Technology.
