Mr Arnaud GOESSENS
Senior Manager, EU Policy, Wildlife Conservation Society
Arnaud leads on EU policy in relation to intergovernmental policy processes, including CITES and CMS, and liaises with the European Commission regarding the implementation of the EU Action Plan against Wildlife Trafficking. In his previous position with WCS Mozambique, he worked as program manager strengthening management systems and coordinated counter wildlife trafficking work. In 2011, he conducted research on the management of mangrove forests in Malaysia and has several field experiences working with sea turtles in Malaysia and numerous wild animals such as howler monkeys, endangered macaws, and sloths in Costa Rica. He served in intergovernmental organizations including UN Development and the European Commission. He holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering from the Free University of Brussels and a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Policy from Columbia University in New York City.
