In recent years, Puerto Rico has experienced multiple economic, political, social, and ecological crises. Para la Naturaleza has undergone constant transformations in order to respond to each, fostering mutual care between ecosystems and communities through reforestation, agroecology, historic preservation, community support and hiking trails.
One of the key lessons we have learned so far is the importance of collaboration with communities. By providing them with the tools that we have used over the years, we believe that they can integrate the basic elements of conservation into their mission and vision.
