The french Regional Network of Protected Natural Areas of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (RREN) brings together 31 management structures of various statuses (IUCN categories I to V): National Parks, Regional Nature Parks, Conservatories, Reserves, Departmental Local Authorities, etc. RREN represents more than 700 experts and 60% of the Provencal territory, from the Alps to the Mediterranean.
All these natural areas have decided to mobilize collectively to face the challenges of climate change, at a national scale with the aim to reach international level.
The objectives are to present this network initiative and the striking action of this network roadmap : a nudge common advocacy for citizens - especially young people and decision-makers to show that a network of healthy and functional ecosystems are effective and inexpensive solutions to the challenges of climate change and increase the resilience of an entire territory, including agriculture and urban areas.
