Mr Michael BECKER

Michael Becker, holds a master's degree in environmental engineering with an emphasis on environmental economics and water resources management.
In August 2003, he joined WWF-Brazil as a Water for Life Program officer. By 2012 he left the organization as conservation director.
Over the years, he worked on conservation matters in the Pantanal basin, responsible production chains in livestock and charcoal production, and creating private reserves. Within the perspective of conscious consumption, he promoted the calculation of the ecological footprint of Campo Grande and also brought the footprint project to São Paulo. In 2016 he transitioned to his current responsibility as leader of the Regional Implementation Team (RIT) of the Cerrado Biodiversity Hotspot Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) at the Brazilian International Institute of Education (IEB).
