Tara has led the South Atlantic Hub for the Best Programmes of work for the last 5 years. Tara’s interest and experience covers a wider spectrum of environmental management and research from conservation and biodiversity to waste management, Marine Spatial Planning, ecosystem services and climate change. She has considerable experience in leading and managing international small-scale and large scale multi-disciplinary projects and programmes of work  that range from on-the ground implementation initiatives to multi-party partnership working platforms. She has a background in establishing new initatives and is is also experienced in communication, networking, stakeholder engagement and  facilitation. She is particularly interested in building the next generation of UK Overseas Territories Scientists and is establishing events and programmes to facilitate this.
