Keys to improving forest and landscape restoration outcomes (ACTUAL TIME 11:15-12:00)

Why attend
Learn about applications of forest and landscape restoration that aim to return ecological functionality to degraded landscapes and provide ecosystem services essential for human wellbeing. Three perspectives for tackling the challenge and scaling up restoration are followed by an interactive panel discussion.
HideDescription
The Global Partnership for Forest and Landscape Restoration (GPFLR) was created to support the Bonn Challenge and other global commitments to restore millions of hectares of deforested and degraded land. GPFLR members have supported different approaches to landscape restoration. The lessons learned from their applications can provide insights for scaling up restoration activities. Three brief presentations will consider the work of WWF, Commonland, and the World Bank and the challenges of large scale restoration. A moderated, interactive panel will allow further consideration of approaches that work or need to be reconsidered.
