Luis is an aspiring conservationist interested in the varied fields of socio-ecology and the management of natural resources. Luis strives for a world where nature thrives alongside human development and believes that innovation and dialogue are imperative tools to ultimately achieve that vision.

He studied Biology (BSc) at the University of Coimbra and Forest and Nature Conservation (MSc) at Wageningen University & Research.

As a programme officer at Tropenbos International, Luis gives support to different programmes on monitoring, evaluation and learning, supports research projects on the topic of Landscape Finance and coordinates interns and students on different topics.
