Runa Khan founded Friendship, an International SPO in 2002 & Friendship International operates from five European countries. Friendship works for the most vulnerable and remote communities for Saving Lives, Poverty Alleviation, Climate Adaptation and Empowerment, directly serving 7 million people annually. Runa Khan authored 8 children’s books, an advocate of climate action, human rights, women empowerment, leadership & nurturing human values. She has received numerous awards including: Rolex Award for Entrepreneurship, Ashoka fellowship, Schwab Social Entrepreneurship Award. She is a Board/Advisory member of various International Committees, including Global Dignity, British Asian Trust Bd, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bd, Honorary President of One Sustainable Health Forum, Grand Jury Member of Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity. She has delivered lectures worldwide, including different UN bodies, WEF, and some top Universities of the world.
