Architect and Urban/Landscape Planner by the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, University of São Paulo, with a doctoral degree in Landscape Architecture and Planning, Technical University of Munich. Licensed by the Brazilian Council of Architecture and Urbanism. At ICLEI Europe, I am part of the Sustainable Resources, Climate and Resilience Team. Leading work packages and/or tasks in European H2020 projects for nature-based solutions, developing deliverables and achieving milestones on NBS mainstreaming and capacity- building for local governments, practitioners, civil society organisations, academia and SMEs. By applying NBS, cities can improve their overall resilience to better prepare for and adapt to challenges such as climate change, natural disasters, biodiversity loss, air pollution, ecosystem services degradation, water quality/scarcity and to foster inclusive urban regeneration and socio-environmental justice.
