A Living Invitation to Respond

Why attend
The growing consensus within the conservation sector points to how it is critical to the future of our planet for the whole sector to take action now to incorporate a standard practice that works in tandem with indigenous and local communities in meaningful and truly collaborative ways.
HideDescription
For decades, Indigenous Peoples have patiently and generously been sharing their knowledge and expertise. The biodiversity of lands managed by Indigenous and local communities globally is widely evidenced. Growing consensus within the conservation sector points to how it is critical to the future of our planet for the whole sector to take action now to incorporate standard practice that works in tandem with indigenous and local communities in meaningful and truly collaborative ways. In addition to listening to Indigenous people, it’s also of importance to centre questions from these communities. In this session, we will hear from Indigenous People and the questions that they would like to have answered by IUCN delegates, and leaders across many sectors, live and prerecorded. We will create a space for responding and listening to which the audience will be invited to participate.
