Lia Mai Torres has more than a decade of experience in community education, mobilization and organizing. She is currently the Executive Director of the Center for Environmental Concerns - Philippines (CEC), a non-profit organization working on environmental research, education, policy advocacy and campaigns. CEC serves as the secretariat for the Asia Pacific Network of Environment Defenders (APNED), a solidarity campaign network of organizations working on environmental advocacy and in defense of environmental human rights defenders.
